Privacy Policy

Poo Patrol is a dog waste removal service run by Pineland LLC, dba Poo Patrol, at 842 Vernon Valley Drive SE Unit 5, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403. This policy covers our website, the-poo-patrol.com, our quote and contact forms, and the texts and emails we send. In it, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Poo Patrol.

What you tell us. When you ask for a quote we collect your name, email, mobile number, ZIP code, how many dogs you have, how often you would like service, how you heard about us, and whether you agree to receive texts. When you contact us we collect your name, email, phone number, your message, how you would like us to get back to you, and whether you agree to receive texts. When you become a customer we also keep your service address, notes about getting into your yard (such as a gate code), your schedule, and your invoices and payments. We keep what you send us by text, email or phone call.

What the website records. When you browse the site we record which pages you visit, the site that sent you here, how far down each page you scroll and how long you stay, along with a random visitor number kept in a cookie, so we can see which pages help people and which do not. We also count taps on our phone number and our quote buttons. These records carry no name or contact details. Our advertising and analytics partners collect similar information through their own tags (see Cookies and Tracking).

• To send you a quote, schedule your service and clean your yard.
• To bill you and take payment.
• To answer your questions and keep you up to date about your service.
• To send texts about your quote, your service and our offers, when you have agreed to receive them (see SMS Consent).
• To improve our website and to see which of our ads bring in customers.
• To keep the records the law and our accountants require.

We never sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, each for its own part of the job:

• Jotform receives what you send through our quote and contact forms.
• Zapier passes each form from Jotform into our customer system.
• GoHighLevel is our customer system: it keeps your contact details and sends our texts and emails.
• Jobber keeps our customer records, schedules and invoices, runs our customer portal, and takes payments made online through its payment processing.
• Resend delivers a form to our office by email on the rare occasion that it cannot reach Jotform.
• Vercel hosts this website and gives us visit counts that use no cookies.
• Pineland Technologies builds and maintains this website and counts its visits, calls and quote requests for us.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google receive information about your visit through their tags, to measure and improve our ads.
• Trustindex shows our Google and Facebook reviews on the site.
• Phone carriers and messaging providers deliver our text messages.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our crew or our business.

By providing your phone number, you agree to the following:

“I consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Poo Patrol at the phone number provided. Message frequency varies. I understand that consent is not a condition of any purchase. Text STOP to opt-out, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.”

All the other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

How our texts work, and how to stop them, is set out in our Messaging Terms of Service.

Our own visit counter keeps a random visitor number in a cookie called “pp_vid” for one year. It holds nothing else. Our visit, call and quote counts are kept in your browser only until you close the tab, and use no cookies.

The Meta pixel and Google’s tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads) set their own cookies to measure visits and ads, and may use what they learn under their own privacy policies. The reviews widget loads from Trustindex, which can see your browser and internet address the same as any site you visit.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser’s settings, and the site works without them. You can also manage how ads are shown to you in your Google and Meta account settings.

We keep a customer’s records for as long as they are a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need them for billing, taxes and our own records. We keep a quote request or a message in our customer system so we can follow up, until you ask us to remove it. Website visit records carry no name or contact details.

• Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email from us.
• Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing or calling us (below). We will do so unless we need to keep it for billing, taxes or another legal reason.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser.

Our service is for property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
